Job Title: Production Manager

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Compass Point Recruitment is seeking an experienced Production Manager for our client to lead day-to-day production operations within their manufacturing facility.

This role is responsible for managing a small team and overseeing production performance, quality, and delivery in a small batch / bespoke manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be hands-on, proactive, and comfortable leading from the front while driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and lead the production team (6 direct reports), ensuring targets and standards are met
• Drive health & safety compliance and best practice across production
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across people and processes
• Ensure production documentation is accurate, up to date, and followed consistently
• Maintain high quality standards across products and processes
• Support production planning to meet customer delivery and revenue targets
• Proactively resolve production, maintenance, and facilities-related issues
• Contribute to decisions around equipment, tooling, and resource requirements
• Embed a culture of accountability, ownership, and performance on the shop floor

Experience & Qualifications:
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally small-batch or bespoke production
• Proven experience managing and developing production teams
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality, and health & safety
• A practical, proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset
• Confident communicator, able to work closely with senior leadership
