Compass Point Recruitment is proud to be working with a respected leader in the sheet metal, welding, and fabrication industry. This company takes real pride in its craftsmanship, delivering precision-engineered products across a wide range of sectors.
They are now looking for a Workshop Supervisor to join their team - someone with hands-on expertise and a natural ability to lead by example on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and support daily operations within the workshop
• Provide practical, hands-on support with welding, fabrication, and sheet metal work
• Ensure all work meets high quality standards and is completed on time
• Prepare accurate and competitive quotations based on technical specifications
• Quickly identify and resolve any production or technical issues
• Maintain strong communication with team members, clients, and key stakeholders
• Uphold a safe, clean, and compliant working environment
What We're Looking For:
• Proven experience in sheet metal, welding, and fabrication (essential)
• Relevant qualifications in engineering, welding, or fabrication (preferred)
• CNC machine experience (preferred)
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
• A practical, problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to prepare job quotes and understand technical drawings/specs
• Capable of working efficiently to tight deadlines
