Job Title: Planning & Logistics Manager
Location: Brandon, Suffolk
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience)

We're working with a growing manufacturing business in Brandon, Suffolk, to recruit a Planning & Logistics Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong track record in production planning, inventory control, and logistics operations.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and confident managing end-to-end supply chain functions. Regular monthly travel to a sister site outside of Suffolk will be required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute production planning and capacity forecasting strategies.
  • Optimize inventory levels to meet service, cost, and cash flow targets.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Contracts, and Production teams to align supply plans with demand.
  • Oversee day-to-day logistics operations, including warehousing and transportation.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers.
  • Monitor logistics performance and implement cost-control initiatives.
  • Lead and support a high-performing planning and logistics team.
  • Utilise ERP and planning systems (Bespoke Precast Manufacturing) to drive efficiency.
  • Analyse data to identify trends and make informed decisions.
  • Report regularly to senior leadership on supply chain performance and challenges.

What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in supply chain planning and logistics management.
  • Strong background using ERP and supply chain systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
  • A relevant degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Experience with lean principles or Six Sigma/APICS certification is a bonus.
