Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience)
We're working with a growing manufacturing business in Brandon, Suffolk, to recruit a Planning & Logistics Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong track record in production planning, inventory control, and logistics operations.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and confident managing end-to-end supply chain functions. Regular monthly travel to a sister site outside of Suffolk will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute production planning and capacity forecasting strategies.
- Optimize inventory levels to meet service, cost, and cash flow targets.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Contracts, and Production teams to align supply plans with demand.
- Oversee day-to-day logistics operations, including warehousing and transportation.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers.
- Monitor logistics performance and implement cost-control initiatives.
- Lead and support a high-performing planning and logistics team.
- Utilise ERP and planning systems (Bespoke Precast Manufacturing) to drive efficiency.
- Analyse data to identify trends and make informed decisions.
- Report regularly to senior leadership on supply chain performance and challenges.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in supply chain planning and logistics management.
- Strong background using ERP and supply chain systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- A relevant degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Experience with lean principles or Six Sigma/APICS certification is a bonus.
