• Coordinate the preparation and printing of trial-related paperwork and handover to operations promptly.
• Adhere to trial briefs and product formulations provided by R&D to assist in producing samples to exacting standards.
• Coordinate trial product preparation with the warehouse team and manage logistics for off-site testing, including palatability and laboratory tests.
• Fulfil requests for product samples for a weekly panel in another office and handle ad-hoc sample reviews.
• Assist in pilot plant and scale-up trials.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating all kitchen equipment.
• Maintain general housekeeping in the pilot kitchen, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Attend weekly team meetings and other ad-hoc meetings and project updates as required.
• Manage stock for trial-related ingredients and consumables, including one-off dry ingredients, fresh/frozen meat ingredients not used in regular production, and trial packaging.
• Aid in documenting SOPs for new equipment and creating Risk Assessments and COSHH.
• Adhere to the highest standards of safety and quality by following appropriate SOPs.
• Collaborate effectively within a development team.
• Provide support for R&D projects as necessary.

Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an NPD or trials technologist preferred.
• Ability to work independently on-site and prioritise R&D's needs within the manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Proficient understanding of food manufacturing equipment.
• Desirable previous experience managing sample stock, samples collection, lab send-offs, and communication with labs.
• Desirable possession of a Food Hygiene certificate.
• Previous experience with Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides) is a plus.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Accountable, honest, hardworking, and able to work efficiently in a team.
