They want to recruit someone with demonstrable experience of managing teams preparing client accounts, corporate tax, self-assessment returns, VAT returns and client payrolls.

Reporting to the Partner and based in the company's March office, as the Accountancy Practice Senior Manager you will be responsible for:
Management of a portfolio of clients providing high quality compliance services for a range of corporate and specialist clients
Fully accountable for the provision of audit and accounting services including corporate and special services for a portfolio of clients with annual fees of £200k
Corporate taxation and finance
Company secretarial duties
Providing projections and forecasting information
Reviewing VAT returns and providing an in depth knowledge and advice service to clients
Managing budgets and compliance processes
Preparing budgets for accounts work
Liaising with clients for debt recovery as required
Managing client relationships and identifying opportunities for additional services
Introducing new clients to the practice
Playing an active role in raising the profile of the business
Displaying a confident, accurate and reliable accounting knowledge when interacting with clients, presenting ideas and implementing strategies
Actively engaging with senior staff / partners to gain a good understanding of the business
Attending local networking events
Reviewing and finalising client's records, file sections and cross referencing schedules
Reviewing and finalising completed work programmes and administration paperwork
Reviewing completed VAT return forms
Reviewing prepared self-assessment tax returns, business and partnership tax returns to include detailed capital gains computations and preparation of schedules of income from property
Reviewing information processed on a computerised tax soft software to produce returns and calculations above
Reviewing P11d and other payroll advice and services and payrolls processed on behalf of clients to strict deadlines
Reviewing submitted FPS and EPS as required
Reviewing submitted confirmation statements, other submitted Companies House forms and company secretarial work and statutory books
Staff management and recruitment
The ideal candidate for this Accountancy Practice Senior Manager role will have significant experience working at a senior level within Accountancy Practice environments to include experience of managing teams preparing client accounts, corporate tax, self-assessment returns, VAT returns and client payrolls.
In addition, it's essential that you are ACA/ACCA Qualified or equivalent.
