Job Title: Referral Administrator
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Salary: £20,000 to £24,000
A local Insurance Broker is currently seeking a Referral Administrator this would be an introductory role into the insurance industry with the potential to progress through to a more senior level.
Job Purpose
•To support the team by providing general administration to ensure delivery of a professional service
•To take incoming calls from brokers referring home insurance risks entered onto EDI platforms. Within designated authority and following established procedures, perform routine evaluation and underwriting of referred risks.
•Ensure accurate underwriting data is captured on systems to minimise risk and ensure high quality output of information.
•Develop your technical and underwriting knowledge to take on more complex cases over time.
Key Result Areas
•Field incoming phone calls to your team, identify which calls can be resolved, and which need to be passed on to an underwriter.
•Support colleagues by providing assistance with day-to-day work while learning new processes and procedures.
•Contacting Brokers to obtain additional information as requested by Underwriters.
•Assist team members in ensuring all daily work tasks are completed within the required time frames.
•Issuing all manual renewal policies within company guidelines.
•Administering the team email mailboxes and passing on emails to the relevant team members as required.
•Develop an understanding of the policy cover for the entire magenta insurance product suite.
•Keeping accurate records of discussions or correspondence with customers
•Assisting Underwriters in recording risk details on source systems; building broker relationships as required; developing knowledge of the class of business and the accounts written, retrieving data for Underwriters as requested.
•Assist underwriters by communicating with brokers.
•Process new business including some data entry into system, population of relevant systems, and incepting cover.
•Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements to ensure obligations are met.

•Computer literate
Additional Information:
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am 5pm
Salary: £20,000 to £24,000 pa
Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
25 days holiday + 8 days bank holidays
Permanent, Full Time Employment
