Are you a Quality Controller with a food lab & production background?

Local family run business on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds is looking for QC Laboratory Technician to work on site at their food(nonmeat) working between the Quality Control Lab, Production & Intake.

Your new site is family owned giving it a real personal feel, however also comes with the benefit of sitting under a large national brand providing excellent job stability.

Ideally you will come from a food production background with knowledge of testing and quality control processes, but good A levels or College diploma would be suffice if you have the right attitude & capability to learn quickly.

Day to day you will be running automated testing processes & using IT systems to generate documentation and reports including certificates of Analysis. You will be in continual conversation with production & other departments, so good communication skills are essential. You will be a vital link safeguarding the high quality product customers expect!

You will need:

•Ability to work alone & within small teams, where use of initiative and computer literacy are essential.
•A background in the food, drink or agricultural industry would be useful.
•Knowledge of quality control and product testing.
•Ability to produce documentation and reports.
•An understanding of health and safety at work.
•Your own transport is required due to the location.
•Good level of English, Maths and Common sense.
•College or University related Degree/Diploma potentially beneficial, but not essential.
•To be looking for a Job that is within a stable industry.

This is a permanent Job with a starting basic salary of £19,000 hours are 8 am to 5 pm. Breaks are paid for & an overtime rate of 1.25 is paid for worked hours over 40 each week. 32 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays plus pension scheme. There is also a yearly salary review.
