Project Sales Coordinator

The primary focus of the role is to assist the sales team by using online tools and making phone calls to investigate who is tendering for projects they have quoted, with the goal of finding who the successful contractor is and passing this information on to an account manager to seek to secure an order for the works.

This role is critical to the ongoing development of the team and business as a whole. This role will enable the successful applicant to be directly responsible for creating opportunities and growing team turnover. It also offers an opportunity to get a good understanding of the projects market, how it works and product range!

The concept behind this role is that it will also naturally lead to the candidate becoming an account manager, because with their own success they will discover new companies and projects of their own which could then be developed and managed as their own. So, it offers a good path of progression in the project sales team and one where the opportunity is there to make a mark, stand out and be rewarded for their success!

The successful candidate will work within an existing sales team. The general day duties for the role are:

•Making phone calls to Architects, Consultants, and Contractors
•Utilising research programs and databases to find relevant project contacts
•Managing a database of current projects
•Updating the database with new projects
•Reporting progress of projects to their line manager
•Liaising with other members of the sales team

Skills Required:

•Telephone sales and/or customer service experience
•Confident use of a PC to communicate internally and externally
•Ability to self-motivate and work remotely if needed
•Team working
•Competent using Microsoft Office programs
•Good attention to detail
