Location: Great Blackenham
We are seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter/Welder to join our client's team in Great Blackenham. The ideal candidate will have experience in both pipe fitting and welding, with a strong understanding of industrial piping systems and welding techniques. As a Pipe Fitter/Welder, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of piping systems, as well as performing welding tasks to ensure structural integrity and functionality.
Responsibilities:
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and configuration of piping systems.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shapes and sizes.
• Install and assemble piping systems using various techniques such as welding, soldering, and brazing.
• Conduct pressure tests and inspections to ensure the integrity and efficiency of piping systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing piping systems.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Always adhere to safety standards and protocols.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter/Welder working with a diverse range of products and large-scale piping systems (e.g. Carbon steel)
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong welding skills with experience in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick).
• Knowledge of different types of piping materials and fittings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid welding certification(s) preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
