Compass Point Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a fantastic client based near Newmarket, to recruit an Operations Manager to join their established business.

This well-known manufacturing business has a world-wide reputation for exceptional design, high quality service and a progressive culture.

Your role will be include:

• Team management of circa 10 individuals (production, procurement, stores, and technicians)
• Evolving the organisational structure, to boost productivity and quality
• Managing the purchasing, ensuring timeline delivery, excellent negotiations, managing subcontractors and suppliers
• Managing the team to deliver product improvements, resolution of technical issues, compliance regulations
• Managing supplier audits alongside implementing and reviewing KPIs
• Managing repair function internally, to ensure timely delivery and efficient customer service
• Involvement and working within their ISO9001 quality management systems
• Planning and budgeting around the business objectives - in line with annual planning
• Reporting - weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting

For this role, you will need to have a successful track record of people management in manufacturing/operations in a technical SME business, paired with demonstrable experience of managing manufacturing processes, purchasing functions and material planning.

The ideal background/experience will include electronics industry experience, with exposure to ISO9001.

They are a business with a focus on high ethical standards and strong customer service and quality at the heart of their business. There is a support network of managers to work with, along with regular contact with the Chair, to ensure you feel supported in your role and as a team you are all moving along towards the business objectives.

• Salary £60-67k (dependent on experience)
• 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays) - increasing with length of service
