Compass Point Recruitment are proud to be assisting the recruitment of an Operations Coordinator to a fantastic local business, who are based just outside of Bury St Edmunds.

As a vital member of their team, you will be responsible for facilitating the seamless export of products through meticulous preparation of shipping documentation, including pro-forma and commercial invoices. Your role extends to obtaining freight quotes, sizing shipments, and coordinating with forwarders to ensure efficient logistics.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare comprehensive shipping documentation for export, encompassing pro-forma and commercial invoices.
• Obtain freight quotes and liaise with forwarders to book shipments.
• Handle document printing and verification processes.
• Keep customers informed about delivery status and promptly address delivery inquiries.
• Analyze and report on quotation and sales order data.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations through meticulous filing of AWB/imports documentation.
• Input distributor orders into Sage Line 50, calculate distributor commissions, and process sales orders.
• Post invoices to Sage Line 50 and reconcile goods received.
• Utilize logical troubleshooting techniques and maintain a keen attention to detail.
• Exhibit proficiency with Windows, Excel, Word, and PDF applications.
• Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in an administrative/export role.
• NVQ Level 3, National Diploma, 2x A levels, or equivalent qualifications.
• Strong logical troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and systems.
• Confidence in using Windows, Excel, Word, and PDFs.

Desired Experience:
• Familiarity with Sage Line 50 or 200 and Sage Manufacturing.
• Previous experience with import/export processes in a manufacturing company.

Additional Information:
• Competitive salary based on experience, starting from £27,000 annually.
• Annual company performance-related bonus of up to £2,000.
• 25 days of holiday in addition to UK bank holidays.
• A full driving license is required.

Candidates must possess all necessary finalized paperwork to live and work in the UK.
