Salary: £45,000 - £48,000 per annum
Shifts: Monday to Friday (Days)
Job Summary:
Our client, a forward-thinking entity, is seeking a skilled Multiskilled Mechanical Engineer to join their team at a prestigious privately-owned estate in Newmarket. As a Multiskilled Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and optimizing various mechanical systems across the estate. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical equipment such as HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, and generators.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions promptly.
Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of mechanical systems.
Respond promptly to emergency repair requests, minimizing downtime and disruptions.
Collaborate with team members, contractors, and service providers for repairs, upgrades, and installations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory management.
Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements for innovative solutions.
Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Assist in planning and executing capital improvement projects.
Provide technical guidance and support to other staff members as required.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably in facilities management or estates.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building maintenance.
Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform preventive maintenance effectively.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the estate.
