Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical bias)
Salary: circa £50k

Shifts: M-F (6-2, 2-10, 10-6)


We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to join a leading FMCG client based in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive engineering support to the Packing Plant, contributing to the success of capital investment projects, packaging initiatives, and improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plant Support: Deliver multi-skilled engineering support to the Plant, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

• Fault Identification and Recovery: Quickly and efficiently identify the root cause of failures and develop effective recovery plans to minimize disruption.
• Project Support: Provide engineering expertise for capital investment projects, packaging projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Performance Enhancement: Implement controlled changes to improve line performance and enhance overall plant efficiency.
• Operative Coaching: Actively coach plant operatives to deepen their understanding of plant equipment and processes.

What You'll Bring:

• Qualifications: A qualification in electrical engineering (e.g., ONC, HNC, or similar) is essential for this role.
• Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with PLC controlled systems, inverters, and industrial three-phase equipment is a must.
• Industry Knowledge: Good knowledge of production line philosophy or liquid transfer processes.
• Pneumatic Systems: An understanding of pneumatic systems and components.
• FMCG Experience: Previous experience in FMCG sector is desirable.
