Management Accountant with ref. J36098

A world leading Manufacturing company, based in Bury St Edmunds, are on the lookout for a Management Accountant to join the finance team on a permanent basis!

You will participate proactively in improving accounting processes and increasing their efficiency. Within this role, you will be responsible for UK accounting processes, month-end and reporting activities. You will ensure timely, accurate and complete recording of financial data to generate correct financial management information.
Reporting into the UK Finance Manager and working in a team of 5, your duties will include:

• Ensure timely monthly accounts closing and reporting to group deadlines.
• Work closely and partner with Plant and Departmental Managers to provide financial insights to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain full balance sheet reconciliations monthly.
• Support the annual financial statements and audits.
• Support the UKFM to ensure budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis are produced in a timely manner and are fit for purpose.
• Maintain fixed asset register and capex reporting.
• Ad hoc financial analyses.
• Contribute to Group financial process improvement and maintain controls integrity.
• Deputise for UKFM as appropriate.
• Stock Control and Operational Support (Production accuracy/ Stock management to ensure financial accuracy)
• Monthly P&L presentations to stakeholders
• Quarterly Intercompany Reconciliations

The ideal candidate will be fully ACCA OR CIMA qualified (or finalist) with experience in the Manufacturing or FMCG industry highly desirable. Advanced excel and experience business partnering will also be a bonus!
