This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation in a hands-on role working alongside the MD!
Working within the senior management team, you will be assisting operational managers & the finance team to make informed performance and strategic decisions through insightful financial information.
You will be applying sound financial expertise, judgements and analysis to act as a business partner to the wider business, providing accurate & reliable financial information that meets/exceeds expectations, ensuring quality first time delivery and enabling the company to achieve budgets and maintain reporting standards.
Specifically you will be responsible for:
•Manage and assist the finance team in producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts with a detailed understanding of variances to budget and prior year
•Report the performance of individual pubs on a weekly basis to senior management
•Identifying and driving process changes in order to improve accuracy of reported data
•Responsible for review of productions costs, sales costings and margins
•Responsible for collating labour costs and identifying & driving improvements
•Develop insightful financial reporting to drive financial and business KPI performance
•Be an essential part of the development and management of accounting systems and processes to ensure the business is fully compliant with statutory and group requirements
•Maintain constant flow of communication between finance and other parts of the business, including senior management and other managers
•Maintain records and support the annual audit
•Participating in the production of annual and 3 year rolling budgets, and monthly year end forecasts and reporting these to the board and the parent company finance team
•Liaising with the parent company finance team to ensure effective group reporting and deadlines are met
•Contribute to the development and management of financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
•Manage cash flow through analysis, accurate forecasting and developing opportunities
•Comply with health and safety policy and procedures, local practices and control measures and report risks, accidents or near misses promptly to contribute to a safe work place
To be successful in your application, you will be educated to degree level or equivalent experience and be part or fully qualified in ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent. You will have proven experience of driving improvements in process and business intelligence. Sage 50 experience is ideal, but not essential. You will have industry experience within food and/or beverage manufacturing or FMCG. You will have strong communication skills to enable you to develop business relationships with strategically important stakeholders.
