Internal Sales Representative

We are currently working with a leading business in their industry who are seeking an experienced Internal Sales Representative to join their team.

The main aim of the internal sales representative is to develop both existing and new business. Whilst the business front is an online web shop, the team here have the goal of developing a good, loyal, long-term trade customer base that return.

The role is wide ranging dealing with enquires, queries and customer service from any existing or new customer for the business. The customer range is also wide and can be, for example, end-users, trades people, builder, installers.

The general day to day duties are:

•Dealing with incoming calls and convert into sales
•Prepare quotations and follow through project all the way to order stage
•Play an integral role in developing the business, coming up with new ideas to improve the site and increase overall turnover
•Focusing on developing existing customers as well as generating new leads
•Cold calling new business if a potential opportunity is identified
•Actively build and maintain relationships with customers
•Review plans and specifications, consult customers to ensure they are purchasing the correct products for their needs
•Handle technical queries when required
•Attend meetings online or in person if required
•Review competitors and feedback to management
•Maintain a high level of customer service
•Deal with any issues such as returns or delivery problems
•Assisting with and generating enquiries through social media platforms

Skills Required:

•To effectively communicate in oral and written communications
•Confident telephone manner
•Confident use of a PC to communicate internally and externally
•Team worker
•Self Motivated
•Energetic Personality
•Experience within the trade is preferred but not essential.

Systems knowledge: There are systems and software in place to assist with this role, including: CRM system to maintain accurate customer records for all communication and organising workflow.

Microsoft Office package, including Outlook for the use of email, Excel for recording data which along with the telephone these are critical tools for this role.

Additional Information:

•Hours of work: Full-time (8am 5:00pm, 1 hour lunch)
•Location: Woolpit, Suffolk
•Holiday: 20 days, increasing to 23 after one years' service
•Salary: Circa £27,000 - OTE £32,000

Bonus Scheme: A commission scheme is in place for this role which would be based on the specific target given to the successful candidate, this scheme is un-capped.
