Local organisation based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds are seeking a dynamic HR Manager, or an experienced HR Assistant looking to move into an HR Manager role, to join their team.
Reporting into Board level, you will be responsible for providing an outstanding HR service with credible, reliable HR advice to the team, managers and staff. You will continue to develop and grow human-centred business practices and nurture healthy organisational cultures that deliver sustainability for all stakeholders within the overall framework of the organisations mission, vision and values.
Your duties will include:
Drafting policies and contracts
Absence management and the ability to use data to make informed decisions on absences and absence trends
Partnering with management teams to deliver the people agenda for the business
Disciplinary and Grievance procedures
Management of appraisals and reviews
Co-ordinating employees training needs alongside Managers
Ownership of staff engagement and retention
Management of business recruitment from interview process to on-boarding and induction
Management of employee well-being and benefits
Ensuring best practice and adherence to employment law
Creating, updating, reviewing job descriptions
To be successful in your application, you will ideally hold CIPD Level 5 qualification and/or have relevant experience of all the above duties. Additionally you will have prior experience in designing and improving HR processes, you will be up to date on all aspects of employment law and be confident working in an all-round generalist HR role.
This company are fast paced and quickly growing so being open to change and moving and reacting rapidly will be required.
Weekly travel will be required within Suffolk so a driving licence and access to your own vehicle is needed.
