Purchase Ledger Clerk & Finance Assistant
Outskirts of Bury St Edmunds

Local organisation based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team.

Working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday, you will be responsible for all aspects of the purchase ledger processes, including expenses and purchase orders through to invoices and reconciliation.

In addition, you will support the finance team to deliver the key strategic finance functions along with:

Correctly coding invoices
Resolving any issues with price differences
Contacting suppliers to review discrepancies with invoices
Making payments via BACS twice monthly, plus any other ad hoc payments
Monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts
Reconciliation of supplier statements and company expenses
Bank reconciliations
Processing monthly personnel expenses
Managing Cashbooks, Cash Flows and Credit Card accounts
Monthly and annual audit checks
Stock
Liaising with Department Managers regards invoice queries

To be successful in your application you will have previous strong Purchase Ledger experience and ideally have previous SAP experience. You will have strong Excel and Microsoft Office experience. You will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, be a team player, self-disciplined and efficient along with a flexible and proactive nature.

Ideally you will have AAT Level 2 & 3.

Alternatively you will be an Accounting and Finance graduate who is looking to grow and develop within a Finance team.
