Are you a QA Manager or Technical Manager looking for an exciting new change working for one of the country's largest fresh produce providers? Our client is recruiting a Factory Technical Lead to join their busy site in Cambridgeshire.

As a Factory Technical Lead, you will lead on day-to-day technical decisions within the factory and be responsible for meeting customer expectations and maintaining exemplary standards of food safety and quality of the finished products being produced, this will include compliance with product safety, authenticity, and legal standards. The Factory Technical Lead is also responsible for raw material and product testing in the factory in line with UK and EU legislation.

You will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure high technical quality of products are being produced for their customers in line with their specifications as well as identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in line with the wider technical direction. You will define and work within KPIs for your team ensuring key performance is met in line with customer requirements as well as internal and external audit standards, you will also take a lead on internal audits for other sites.

Reporting directly to the Factory Manager, the Factory Technical Lead has management responsibility for a team of QA's and will need to demonstrate the ability to manage and motivate teams.

The ideal candidate will have:

•Proven experience within a Factory Technical role ideally within a fresh produce environment
•Microbiology experience or as a minimum theoretical knowledge of this area
•Experience in leading audits, BRC, and customer
•Experience in managing a team
•Exceptional communication skills
•Commercial awareness
•A proactive approach to driving self and the wider team forward.
