We are looking for a motivated individual with strong troubleshooting skills, solid knowledge of electrical systems (with 17th or 18th Edition qualifications), and experience in mechanical engineering.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment, including HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, and generators.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and installations with contractors and external service providers.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment logs.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Assist in planning and executing projects such as equipment upgrades and system enhancements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other staff members as needed.
• Undertake any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred, or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (e.g., ONC or BTEC Level 3).
• ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems) - advantageous.
• ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management) - advantageous.
• HVAC Qualifications and strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Proven experience in a mechanical/electrical role, ideally in facilities management or an estate environment.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving mechanical/electrical issues.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

This role offers excellent working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with occasional weekends (paid as time in lieu), along with great benefits and the opportunity to work with a fantastic company.
