Do you have an analytical mind, inquisitive personality and a passion for the environment and sustainability? This could be the role for you. Our client are currently recruiting for an ESG Executive to join their team based in Barway, Ely, Cambridgeshire.

If you are passionate about sustainability, climate change, food waste and the environment then this is an ideal opportunity to work with the business to help drive their ESG strategy across the Group.

They work with the biggest food retailers in the market across the UK and throughout Europe and want people who will do what's right for the company and their customers.

Key roles & responsibilities

Responsible for engaging with and supporting Stakeholders at all sites to ensure their measuring and reporting requirements are met for sustainability data.
This data will be collated and reported on a Group level by the ESG Exec, with communications made at the relevant Group and Site level.
Templates for recording and collecting data will be made and databases will be maintained to allow easy access and distribution for all colleagues.
Use information and data collated to support the future business strategy for Group and PO Members.
Use information and data collated to complete legal reporting such as SECR, ESOS and managing Climate Change Agreements for sites.
To report internally and externally targets, progress and strategy for ESG.
Engage the Group with ESG projects to share ideas, learning and further progress.
Food waste data will be monitored and reported monthly by the ESG Executive to use in setting reduction plans with Production Teams to meet Champions 12.3 targets.
Supporting our internal ESG Champion groups.
Managing own workflows and project tasks to defined scope, budgets, and timescales.
Attend meetings or seminars and read current literature to maintain knowledge of developments in the field.
Supporting with presentations and engagement across the group.
Candidate Requirements

Degree in sustainability, environmental studies or equivalent would be hugely beneficial.
Strong analytical skills.
Attention to detail.
Previous experience in an ESG/CSR role would be beneficial but not essential.
Excellent communication skills with the confidence to communicate to a wide range of people in small and large groups.
Stakeholder engagement at all levels.
Strong presentation skills.
