Job Title: Lead CAD Designer
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Job Type: Full-time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Normal Office Hours

Position Overview:
As the Lead CAD Designer, you will be at the forefront of our design department, responsible for driving creativity, innovation, and precision in all design processes. You will play a pivotal role in collaborating with other departments, ensuring seamless communication, and handling technical inquiries from customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Leadership:
•Lead and inspire a team of CAD designers to produce high-quality designs that meet client specifications and industry standards.
•Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement within the design department.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design concepts into overall project plans.
Project Management:
•Oversee the end-to-end design process, from concept development to final product delivery.
•Ensure that projects are completed within established timelines and budget constraints.
•Conduct regular design reviews to maintain quality standards and identify areas for improvement.

Technical Support:
•Act as a technical expert, providing guidance and support to team members and addressing technical questions from customers.
•Collaborate with the sales and customer support teams to understand customer requirements and provide solutions.

Communication and Collaboration:
•Work closely with other departments, including engineering, marketing, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of design concepts into the overall business strategy.
•Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
•Proven experience as a CAD Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
•Leadership experience in managing a design team.
•Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
•Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
