This role involves the delivery of a professional and efficient commercial service to businesses and organisations. This is an office and field-based sales and solutions role, developing and securing sales leads, dealing with customer requests and focusing on the creation and compilation of a comprehensive database for businesses across the region.
Key duties include:
•Working on a day to day basis to manage nominated customer accounts to deliver profit and sales targets
•Maximise sales revenue by selling services across West Suffolk and beyond
•Manage own workload and targets and assist with the monitoring of expenditure/income, reporting exceptions
•Support new business opportunities by ensuring all enquiries are followed up quickly and efficiently
•Undertake site visits to assess customer requirements and prepare quotations
•Provide technical advice and assistance and offer solutions to customer needs
•Carry out individual risk assessment at each customer location
•Provide technical support for service customers as required, including managing complaints and responding to service requests
•Assist in the development and delivery of strategies to expand the service by increasing the customer base and the range of our services customers purchase
•Monitor the commercial environment to maintain service price competitiveness and superior customer service
•Assist with the design and production of marketing and promotional strategies for the service
•Evaluate the potential impact of proposed and relevant legislation/regulation on the service area
•Be an active part of the technical support team to maintain a comprehensive customer database by providing all relevant documentation/information
You will require specialist skills, knowledge and vocational, technical or professional qualifications as follows:
•Proven track record in a sales and marketing environment
•Confident negotiation and networking skills
•Solid experience using Microsoft and internal systems
•Ability to work as a team but also use your initiative when required
•Full Clean Driving Licence Essential
•Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
•Salary: Starting salary £25,500 with regular reviews
•Hours: Monday to Friday Full Time
