Job Title: Accounts Payable Assistant
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Type: Permanent, Part-time
Salary: £13 per hour

A reputable business, base in Bury St Edmunds, are looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join the team on a part-time basis! A fantastic opportunity to contribute to a thriving manufacturing environment while enjoying the flexibility of part-time employment.

Reporting to the Financial Controller and working in a team of five, your daily duties would include:

• Efficiently handle the end-to-end processing of invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Maintain positive relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries and discrepancies promptly and professionally.
• Accurately enter financial data into the accounting system to support timely and precise financial reporting.
• Assist in reconciling and verifying expense reports, ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
• Contribute to the month-end closing process by preparing reports and reconciling accounts payable transactions.
• Maintain organised and up-to-date records, both electronically and in hard copy, for audit and reference purposes.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk in a similar role and have familiarity with accounting software and a strong aptitude for working with numbers. Key qualities will include excellent attention to detail, effective communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
