Job Title: Electrical Assembler
Location: Bury St. Edmunds
Hours: Monday to Friday
Salary: £11.44 - £13 per hour
Type: Temporary to Permanent contract

We are currently seeking a motivated Electrical Assembler to join the team on behalf of our client, based in Bury St Edmunds. As an Electrical Assembler, you will be willing to learn and play a crucial role in assembling and testing valves, switches, and controls, ensuring the completion of units or subassemblies.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test valves, switches, and controls to form complete units or subassemblies.
  • Interpret assembly drawings to ensure accurate production.
  • Adhere to all company quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Perform shop order picking and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Uphold the principles of high 5s for efficient workplace organization.
  • Respond positively and productively to changes in tasks and priorities.
  • Be willing to work additional hours when required to meet position requirements.
  • Stay informed about changes to company policies and procedures, AMOT Terms and Conditions, and ensure compliance.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Requirements:
  • Minimum one year of experience in assembly manufacturing/production.
  • Related experience and/or training.
  • Having a 'Level 2' electrical or mechanical certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
