Job Opportunity: Accounts Administrator
Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Woolpit, Bury St Edmunds
Working Hours: 37 Hours Per Week, Monday - Friday
Salary: £27,000 to £29,000 per annum

Are you an experienced Accounts Administrator seeking a new opportunity? A leading business within the Construction industry, near Bury St Edmunds, is looking for a diligent individual to join their friendly accounts team.

Offer an excellent remuneration package, a welcoming work environment, and a supportive team while reporting directly to the Finance Director, your duties would include:

• Processing sales and supplier invoices
• Reconciling delivery notes to purchase/sales invoices
• Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing accounts
• Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
• Reconciling supplier statements to Sage accounts and managing payments
• Processing business expense returns and petty cash/credit card transactions
• Daily update of the cash book and monthly reconciliation of bank statements
• Payment allocations on Sage with precision and recording retention deductions
• Assisting with payroll and credit control activities
• Handling payment applications and final account reconciliations
• Other ad hoc duties as required

Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, alongside strong interpersonal and communication abilities, impeccable attention to detail, and effective teamwork skills are essential. Proficiency in IT tools such as Excel, Sage, and BACS, adaptability to shifting priorities, and either studying for or holding an AAT qualification are highly valued.
