My client based on the outskirts of Stowmarket are seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator to join their team.
Reporting into the Accountant, you will be responsible for providing accounts and logistics support to the department. Key responsibilities will include:
Authenticating card payments prior to repair visits
Scanning and saving reports
Creating and sending out invoices to customers and updating valuations
Raising proforma invoices and converting to sales orders
Dealing with company credit cards including collecting receipts from employees and/or suppliers
Allocating values to the correct nominal codes, applying the correct VAT treatment
Collating monthly company vehicle forms
Updating weekly and monthly stock takes
Raising job numbers and sales orders within Sage 200
Running monthly aged debtors report from Sage
Reviewing all accounts with an overdue debit balance
Reviewing payment terms for each account as appropriate
Placing accounts on hold as required
Contacting customers directly to obtain settlement advice
Reporting overdue aged debtors to the Accountant
Sending out statements twice a month
Receiving information on payments received into the bank
Posting receipts in Sage
Ensuring invoices received have been authorised
Statement reconciliation for all supplier accounts
To be successful in your application you will have previous Purchase and Sales Ledger experience and ideally be immediately available for work. Sage experience would be preferred but not essential.
Due to location, access to your own transport is required.
Hours for the role are 8.00 a.m. 5.00 p.m, Monday Friday
