Tax Specialist - (part-time 16-24 hours) £25000 - £35000 pro-rata

Due to continued growth the opportunity has arisen for a new role within our clients accountancy business. As a Tax Specialist professional, you will take responsibility for managing the full provision of Taxation and general practice services to your own portfolio of clients as you develop within this firm and role. Clients are varied across limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships up to the audit threshold in turnovers. As well as managing the provision of tax returns and general practice services to clients, you will look to develop added value relationships with your clients, carving a key role within the growth of the business.

There will be scope to hold a key position within this growing office and progress in your career. The Successful Applicant will be MAAT, ATT, or equivalent, with a career background in accountancy practice, at experienced Senior Accountant / Client Manager levels with client and portfolio management responsibility ideally. You will have a recent background working for an accountancy practice, in both a hands on and client facing capacity and be able to demonstrate an ability to support the business' fast growth ambitions.

Responsibilities:

Manage Client Data Records through practice management software

Communicating effectively with all clients and always exceed service expectations

Ensuring full compliance. Reviewing and implementing improved financial controls into clients

Assisting with VAT return queries when required and checking junior members' work

Ad-hoc projects Capital Gains, Tax planning, share restructures.

Be able to deal with high-net-worth individuals and complex tax scenarios

Preparing and filing relevant tax returns and payments for Directors and Individuals (SA302)

Collaborate with team members to deliver end to end compliance

Preparing, reviewing, and advising on corporation and personal tax returns and affairs

A full understanding of the tax landscape, keeping up to date on all relevant legislation

Personal Specification

Educated to Accounting Specific Qualification (MAAT or ATT).

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, especially Excel.

Relevant financial qualification. Previous experience of Xero Accounts system.

At least 3 year's relevant work experience within the tax field.

Experience in practice.

Well-organised, client focused, good team player, problem -solving approach.
