I started my career in retail with face to face customer sales and worked with various products. I was always very heavily focused on product knowledge as I believed it enabled me to help customers make the right decisions. After a short career break to look after my children I joined Compass Point Recruitment in 2014 initially starting out as Resourcer before progressing to be a Recruitment Consultant for our specialist Engineering Desk. My initial role as a Resourcer has proved invaluable in equipping me with a wealth of sourcing skills in a market where there is a high level of skill shortages. I thoroughly enjoy working with a diverse range of clients, from exciting start-ups to global giants and candidates at all levels from Graduates to Senior Managers.
More recently, I have joined our Food and Agriculture Division at an exciting time of growth to become the dedicated Food Engineering Consultant. With Food engineering being such a multidisciplinary field which combines microbiology, applied physical sciences, chemistry and engineering for food and related industries it is a fantastic one to be part of. Roles include, but not limited to, the application of agricultural engineering, mechanical, electrical engineering and chemical engineering principles to food materials. Key roles would include Maintenance Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Process Engineers, Engineering Managers and many more. It is exciting, fast paced and forever changing to fit consumer needs.
Away from work I am kept busy as a Mum of two young daughters.
