Direct Sales Manager (B2B)
Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

I am working with an established business who are experienced in their sector and seeking a Sales Supervisor to drive their B2B client base. With over 25 years experience in the industry, they are a firm front runner in their sector and excited to welcome the growth of the sales team, to business their business to the next level.

The ideal candidate will have experience in management, B2B sales and have a confident and approachable manner.

The role will involve the full sales cycle from identifying potential B2B opportunities, cold calling, following up at regular intervals, negotiating service proposals & fees and on-boarding the client, as well as growing a small team of direct sales executives who, under the Direct Sales Supervisor's guidance, will deliver against the overall sales target.

Responsibilities

•Have a good understanding of the Group's services, and how to promote them
•To increase company awareness and create opportunities
•Bring new ideas to the table and think creatively about opportunities
•Working with the Head of Sales & Marketing to look at ways to improve processes to develop the sales function
•Work with the marketing department to create email marketing campaigns to target the lead database
•Proactively research and make outgoing B2B calls to new potential customers
•Establish who are the key decision makers/influencers in these businesses and ensure they know all about business and why they should buy from them
•Negotiate pricing, service level agreements and complete new account documentation
•Understand the needs of your potential clients and respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
•Manage the sale from initial contact through to on-boarding of new client
•Maintain the company CRM system
•Answer incoming enquiries by telephone and email
•Recruit, train & support a team of Direct Sales Executives
•Attend meetings and provide regular reports for the Head of Sales & Marketing, Head of departments and Directors
•Meet and exceed sales targets
•Reporting to Head of Sales & Marketing

The Successful Applicant

•Proven direct sales experience
•Experience in a supervisory role, ideally in a sales environment
•Forward thinking with the ability & confidence to propose new processes and change within the department
•Highly proactive & driven with a determination to succeed and exceed targets
•A people person with a friendly manner, able to engage and communicate well
•Team player who is happy to assist other team members and collaborate with operational departments
•Highly organised and thorough in maintaining CRM and following up on opportunities

Additional Information:

•Hours of Work: Normally 09:00 05:30 1 Hour unpaid lunch (flexibility required)
•Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 basic with commission OTE £40,000
•Holidays: 20 days + bank holidays rising to 22 days after 1 year's employment
•Company Pension. Nest Scheme
•Company Sick: Pay 5 days on a rolling 12-month basis
