Multi-skilled Engineer with ref. J35471

Rare opportunity to join a privately owned business in the Food processing sector. This organisation has a long and established history with an inclusive culture that has resulted in very low staff turnover. You will be joining a committed team of 16 engineers working a 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights shift pattern. This business has invested £40,000,000 in CapEx projects over the last 6 years and has plans for further expansion. You will be joining at a time of many exciting projects for Engineering as existing assets are updated and new lines added.

Core duties:

Ensure any maintenance issues to be resolved on the shift
Adhere to daily and weekly checks to ensure smooth operation of the site.
Ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks are completed.
Ensure compliance of the engineering data systems.
Optimise equipment according to standard procedure, enhancing performance and product quality, ensuring
the achievement of all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Ensure routine calibration and maintenance requirements of a variety of electro-mechanical, hydraulic and
pneumatic systems are undertaken
Ensure that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose and to provide proactive
support/solutions when required
Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation
Provide technical expertise to the team

Qualifications required:

Completed a recognised apprenticeship, ideally in the FMCG sector
City & Guilds 2323 or 18th edition (BS 7671)
Proven PLC and electrical controls fault-finding training
H&S aware/qualification
