I am delighted to be working with a Haverhill based business in their search for a Junior Buyer. This is an opportunity for a junior professional to gain training and development within a supply chain role and work with a fantastic team.
The ideal candidate will have strong administration experience, although buying/supply chain experience is not essential.
Your main responsibility will be to purchase stock and consumables to meet production needs, ensuring maximum profitability is achieved.
Primary duties:
•Processing purchase Orders to ensure all stock is available prior to production
•Make sure orders are placed to get maximum profitability
•Setting up all new product codes in line with company guidelines
•Updating all Production Schedules and advising the correct personnel of any problems
•Ensure that sample garments are ordered and invoiced correctly
•Ensure Tracking is available for all customer sample orders
•Ensure all spoils are recorded and ordered correctly
•Support and liaise with the sales department
•Monitor consumables and order as necessary
•Dealing with all existing suppliers on a daily basis
•Monitor Suppliers literature and samples
•Checking off purchase orders against goods received
•Assist with the Company stock takes and any amendments
•Help cover Senior buyers duties in their absence
Attributes:
•Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
•Computer skills including outlook and excel and ideally with a CRM software or similar.
•Flexible in learning and tasks.
•Ability to work either within a team or alone affectively.
•Able to communicate verbally, email and telephone between departments.
•Be able to work under pressure
•A team player

•Salary: Circa £23,000
•Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (1 hour for lunch) regular visit for the sandwich van!
