Internal Sales Account Manager
Woolpit, Suffolk

This is an exciting opportunity to join a Bury St Edmunds based organisation in their search for an Internal Sales Account Manager to develop both existing and new business!

The team has a shared goal of developing a good, loyal and long-term customer base that continues to return!

Role Responsibilities:
•Prospecting new business using a variety of tools including telephone, email and mail
•Focussing on specific areas and customer targets in co-ordination with the external sales team
•Working closely with the external sales team to close the identified business to become spending accounts
•Developing and managing own customer base
•Completing quotations as they come in and on behalf of external sales team
•General sales support

Main duties:

•The main aim of the internal sales account manager is to find and convert new business for the company from lead generation to closing sales and opening new accounts, ultimately increasing turnover
•The retail sector covers retail outlets such as kitchen, bathroom, tile, conservatory stores, along with electrical wholesalers and plumbing merchants
•The role involves managing a database of existing accounts and be their point of contact for quotations and customer service. From a new business perspective, it would involve researching and identifying potential new customers and opportunities within the industry using data sources such as the company's CRM, databases and online research

•Desire passion and drive to be successful
•To effectively communicate in oral and written communications
•Confident telephone manner
•Confident use of a PC to communicate internally and externally
•Self-managed, team worker


•Sage CRM system to maintain accurate customer records for all communication and organising workflow.
•Microsoft Office package, including Outlook for the use of email which along with the telephone are critical tools for this role.
•Xero quoting system to produce professional quotations.

Additional Information:

•Hours: Monday to Friday- 8.00am-5.00pm
•Location: Woolpit, Suffolk
•Holiday: 20 days, increasing to 23 after one years' service
•Salary: £22,000-£25,000 + Team Bonus
