A great opportunity exists for an experienced Cost Accountant, based on the Norfok/Suffolk border.
Our client has been trading for over 90 years, and are about to position their business for the next 90! They manufacture products of the highest quality and performance.
As the Cost Accountant you will be part of a brand new Finance team and will report into the newly appointed Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce and update departmental budgets
Support and assist in the production of forecasts
Assist the financial director when making critical business decisions
Support the purchasing manager with analysis of standard costing, actual costing, variance allowance and stock management.
Analyse stock turnover and stock counting practice for adequacy Produce KPI reports using Access financials
Analyse stock turnover and stock counting practice for adequacy Support sales management with pricing and profitability per customer, product and other applicable factors
Assisting in the review of commercial contracts
Recommending changes to company procedures to aid cashflow
Work with and provide cover for the management accountant
Guiding other accounting and clerical staff by answering questions and coordinating activities
Skills and Qualifications
Working towards ACCA or CIMA qualification
2+ years recent relevant experience
Advanced knowledge of Office 365 and Teams
Knowledge of accounting regulations
Excellent mathematical ability with strong attention to detail
Great time management
Fantastic oral communication skills to explain complex information in a clear manner
