CNC Miller with ref. J35042

Highly successful local business with enviable order book is currently looking to strengthen its workforce with the appointment of an experienced CNC Miller. The business is a key partner to the agricultural sector locally and is well regarded for the quality of its work.

As a CNC Miller you will be experienced in setting and operating using various controls mainly Fanuc and Heidenhain based systems, manufacturing high precision components for various industries from small to medium batch quantities. You must have the ability to work well under your own initiative.

Responsibilities

Ability to interpret engineering drawings
Use Fanuc systems to manufacture parts to a tight tolerances
Quality check components using different measuring equipmen
Some editing of CNC programs
Adhere to health and safety policies

Requirements

Proven experience in, setting and operating Fanuc CNC machines
Well-developed and hands on experience on multi-axis CNC Milling operations and programs.
Proven experience of working with CNC vertical milling machines.
Experience of working in a fast paced machine shop environment.
Experience using Fanuc systems.
Previous experience of manufacturing steel components.
Experience working with a range of materials such as Aluminium, Mild steel, Stainless steels.
City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering

Hours of Work:

40 per week, Monday to Thursday. Minimum 6 hours Overtime guaranteed, at time and a half, on a Friday.
