I am delighted to be working with a forward-thinking business based in Bury St Edmunds, who are seeking a Business Development Manager to join the Sales Team during an exciting period of growth for the organisation!
This position will require an ambitious, organised and driven individual with a passion for completions and customer service They are looking for an energetic, focused, and self-motivated solutions-based Business Development Manager who will be responsible for developing new business from a selection of industries. You will do this by becoming a trusted advisor, providing direction & insight to win business for long term net-zero programs.
The successful candidate will have the presence to operate at all levels including senior C-level executives, be a great listener, and have a track record of winning new business.
•Identify new business opportunities & drive new sales business
•Develop & implement a business & sales strategy to enhance the growth of our core business in line with agreed revenue & targets
•Identify opportunities, capture value and win deals
•Drive increased revenue & profit to achieve the company's ambitious growth plans in the UK
•Build strong relationships to become a credible trusted advisor to our clients
•Attend conferences and events
•Creating accurate sales forecasts and actively working towards them
•Good interpersonal skills- ability to work across the business with various stakeholders
•Managing a sales pipeline from lead generation to close, clearly articulating the sales proposition
•Developing, maintaining & reporting on a pipeline through the CRM
•Support the Commercial Department by liaising with supply chain partners
•Support the identification, vetting and management of a long-term supply chain partner program
•To undertake joint tasks and projects with the wider company to meet strategic objectives
The person Specification:
•Strong business development background
•Desirable experience selling solutions with deal sizes £50K plus
•Experience of solution/consultative selling & building bespoke value propositions with customers across a complex range of technology & solutions
•Have experience in developing solutions and building business cases to close sales with C-level executives
•Experience of influencing and developing relationships at varying levels within businesses both internally & externally
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills & attention to detail
•Self- motivated & results focused with a drive to succeed
•Strong commercial acumen, interpersonal and communication skills
Additional Information:
•Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00
•Office Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
•Salary: £40,000 & Commission & Car
•Office based 1 days a week & field based for the remainder of the week - you must be commutable to Bury St Edmunds at least one day a week to be considered
