Agricultural Management Consultant - Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

We are looking for an Agricultural Consultant to provide professional management services, independent advice and support to clients within the farming and agribusiness sector. You will need to have great knowledge of agriculture in the UK, and ideally be already in a similar role.

Our client is a leading provider of agriculture, environment and planning consultancy services, supporting land-based businesses.

The role

Providing management and strategic advice to a diverse range of Estates and Farming clients

Preparation of accurate financial information including budgets, cashflow forecasts management reports and other supporting documents
Research and advise clients on rural grant funding and subsidy schemes
Advise clients on important matters relating to the management and development of their farm business, including diversification projects
Benchmarking business performance and provision of associate advice
Liaison with clients other professionals and bank managers
Who should Apply:

If you have:

Excellent analytical and numerical abilities - and good understanding of financial information
Good knowledge of UK agriculture
An ability to maintain and develop relationships
Good attention to detail with effective time management skills
An enthusiasm for providing high quality advice to farmers and landowners
The ability to function both as a strong team player and a focused individual
Excellent communication skills both written and oral
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
An ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies
Some experience in farm consultancy is desirable, but not essential
