Reporting in to the Product Manager and Technical Manager your role will include but not limited to;
•Assisting in the day to day management of the QC team
•Maintain shelf life and condition test documentation. Collate information for distribution on request.
•Calibrate QA equipment in rotation with other QA.
•Carry out documented inload checks to the recommended level against customer specifications.
Label pallets and date according to the outcome.
•Check inload reports and report the findings to suppliers
•Ensure supplier evaluation is accurate and complete
•Carry out documented outload checks to the recommended level
•Carry out documented stock checks to the recommended level
•Packhouse liaison as required.
•Prepare samples to required standard as requested.
•Write summary reports as requested.
•File QA documentation by date in the relevant folders as required.
•Look after visitors to the department as necessary.
•Order of Use/Stock rotation with Product Manager.
•Follow up inspections and brief report on customer rejections
•Weekly store temperature checks
•Assist in training and development of Junior QA
•Provide cover and send QA reports to supplier when requested by Product Manager or Technical Manger
•Provide cover and send updates to supplier when requested by Product Manager or Technical Manager
•Liaison with visitors as required
The ideal person for this role will have:
•Previous experience in a similar role
•Fresh produce experience, fruit being preferable
•Team player attitude
•Prepared to work outside remit
•Expected to work weekends as per agreed rota.
