Accounts Administrator
Outskirts of Bury St Edmunds
£18,000 - £21,000

This organisation based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds are seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator to join their existing team.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

Processing purchase ledger invoices and customer sales invoices/commercial invoices/credit notes using the ERP system and Sage software
Credit control ensuring debtors are managed in accordance with company financial procedure
Collecting data for and complete grant monitoring form (quarterly)
Collating all delivery notes from stores and matching to supplier invoices
Processing supplier invoices on the ERP system
Liaising with stores if processing issues arises
Chasing and resolving any issues with all parties
Sending processed invoices to the Financial Director for payment if not paid by DD
Emailing supplier remittances daily
Filing all paid invoices in accounts filing system
Reconciling supplier accounts monthly to ensure all invoices are paid
Liaising with suppliers if issues arise
Sending customer statements monthly
Chasing overdue invoices internally, then with customers
Collating receipts from Barclaycard holders and processing the monthly statement
Supporting Spares in their busy periods answering calls
Covering for spares and production administration for holidays and sickness and during busy periods as requested by line manager
Assisting with stocktake

To be successful in your application, you will have previous experience of the above duties and be looking to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. You will have excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. Previous experience of Sage is ideal. You will possess the ability to work independently and under pressure and to work closely with other team members to resolve customer issues. You will have good organisational skills and be able to work in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will have good time management skills, and be able to work on your own initiative. You will be proactive and reactive, flexible and able to take ownership of a task through to completion.

This role will be working a 40 hour week 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday

This role is commutable from Bury St Edmunds, Haverhill, Newmarket, Sudbury and all surrounding villages.
