I am currently representing a friendly and professional Accountancy Practice based in Bury St Edmunds who are seeking an Accounts Technician to strengthen their existing team.
Responsible for undertaking high quality audit and assurance, accounts preparation and tax compliance services for a range of corporate clients, you will be responsible for:
Audit and Assurance duties to include:
Completion of audit testing as directed and in accordance with the audit plan
Ensuring that work completed is evidenced and recorded on the electronic audit file
Preparation of audit completion documentation for review
Responsible for a portfolio of Client Accounts where you will be:
Processing client records to draft accounts stage
Completing file sections and cross referencing schedules
Completing work programmes and administration paperwork
VAT duties to include:
Processing client records to draft VAT return
Completion of VAT return following review
Submitting VAT returns to HMRC
Tax Compliance duties to include:
Preparation of corporation tax returns for review
Submission of corporation tax returns to HMRC
To be successful in your application, you will have recent Accountancy Practice experience and ideally be an AAT (or equivalent) studier. You will have good IT skills to include Word and Excel.
This role is permanent, full-time and will be working a 37.5 hour week.
This role is commutable from Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket, Thetford, Newmarket, Sudbury and all surrounding villages.
