Local National Company that supplies produce into Supermarkets & major retailers is looking for a Night Engineer to replace a retiring member of Staff.
Working on a 4 on 4 off shift your working hours will be between 10pm and 8am. Working in all areas of the factory and on a wide variety of equipment including; packaging machinery, conveyors, slicing machinery, fridges, generators, and bespoke machinery related to industry.
This is a fast paced FMCG environment and you will be responsible for keeping production running to strict schedules as the product is perishable & non frozen. The role is mainly autonomous however there is a two hour hand over period at the beginning and end of each shift. You will have access to all ancillary parts in the stores, however you may also have a hand in ordering of larger, not on the self-items..
As a Night Shift Engineer your Night to Night duties may include but not limited to:-
•Implementing and supporting of often rapid breakdowns, fault finding & rapid rectification.
•Assisting the Engineering Manager in managing engineering workload and ensure optimum engineering performance of the site.
•Sharing of Technical Skills & Knowledge to improve overall team performance.
•Creating and tweaking maintenance schedules for preventative maintenance & implementation.
•Ensure that all planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks are completed in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
•Engaging in any required training offered.
•Degree, HND or completed Apprenticeship within Engineering.
•18th Edition is desirable.
•3+ years' experience working within a FMCG environment.
•Desire to be an integral part of a large manufacturing site.
•Own transport due to site location.
Salary & Benefit Package:-
•Remuneration of £34,103 starting base salary + £3,862 Shift allowance.
•23 + 8 days holiday.
