I am looking to recruit a Sales Executive to join my client based in Cambridgeshire. Knowledge of working within a wholesale retail environment would be advantageous.

The Role
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
•Close liaison with customers in the UK & Europe - via the telephone, email and in person.
•The evaluation of new products to determine feasibility which includes compiling market data, route to market options and assessing all costs via the completion of cost models.
•Preparing PowerPoint presentations for product submissions to customers.
•Selling new products to existing customers.
•Selling existing products to new customers.
•Developing and implementing promotions to drive sales growth.
•Preparing monthly sales & margin reports.
•Regular analysis of customer buying trends.
•Liaison with Australian & China offices as required.
•Assisting with consumer enquiries as required.
•Supporting Customer Service and the rest of the office when necessary - processing customer orders, invoicing, liaising with Warehouse, answering the telephones, etc.

Ideal Candidate
•A minimum of 2 years selling experience in a wholesale sales role.
•Major account management (Costco or Aldi experience a significant advantage).
•Online selling experience an advantage.
•German speaker an advantage.
•Strong MS Office skills (incl. Excel & PowerPoint).
•Commercial acumen and strong numerical skills.
•Excellent presenter and negotiator.
•Results driven and self-motivated with an engaging personality.
•Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
•Strong organisational skills & time management including prioritisation and multi-tasking.
•Excellent attention to detail - including cross-referencing and proof-reading.
•Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
•A team player - happy to assist with all tasks.
•Holds a UK driving license and willingness to travel regularly within the UK and Europe.

The role reports to, and will work closely with, the General Manager.

Performance Measurement/Accountability
•Achievement of sales & margin budgets.
•Strength and depth of customer relationships.
•Initiative, work ethic, teamwork.

Permanent, full-time role - Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm.
20 days annual leave per annum plus Bank Holidays.
Salary - £28,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
