Job Title: Legal Secretary
Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Salary: £19,00-£22,000 depending on experience
Employment Type: Permanent, Full time.

My client, a local solicitor, is looking for a highly motivated Legal secretary to join their company, working 37 hours per week. You will be providing full secretarial and administrative support ensuring all duties and responsibilities are conducted efficiently. This role will be working closely alongside the Litigation team in the first instance, as well as the fee earners, as required.

Duties will include;
•Drafting, transcribe typing and preparing documents as required including letters, forms, standard documents, briefs, bills etc. and preparing for issue as necessary
•Dealing with routine matters, correspondence and queries on own initiative
•Entering back-up records of key dates in central diary, monitoring diary notes and informing of forthcoming events and deadlines as appropriate
•Dealing with new, current and former clients by telephone and in person, taking messages and making appointments
•Conducting conflict of interest check against client database
•Files management
•Liaising with clients, councill and court and other third-parties as required
•Ensuring that clients are kept satisfied at all times and resolving any concerns promptly and courteously, reporting them as formal complaint for investigation when relevant
•Working at all times in accordance with the policies and practices defined within the office manual and liaising with the partners regarding suggested improvements to any aspect of the quality system
•Assisting as necessary with other duties commensurate with the post
•Using the example of a daily work plan out in the schedule in the office manual to plan your day

To be successful in your application you will need to have:
•Previous Legal Secretarial experience - ESSENTIAL
•Experience working in Litigation - Highly Desirable
•Competent typing skills
•Audio Typing skills
•Great written and oral communication skills
•IT literate
•Brilliant organisational skills
