Service Engineer
Outskirts of Bury St Edmunds


We are currently seeking an Service Engineer to join a highly regarded and very well-established engineering firm in Suffolk.
Our client has been designing and manufacturing machinery and accessories for global markets.

The equipment is sold globally and travel will be required to Install the machinery on site, this role would suit somebody that is happy to travel, whilst this will not be all the time it will be part of the role.

Main responsibilities will consist of:
Finding viable engineering solutions to fitting issues and communicating these with the Manager for further review/inspection
Working from manuals and engineering drawings to accurately fit a range of machinery from parts kits.
Fitting pneumatic systems, both small and large to ranges of machinery
Working both independently but also within a team (on larger builds or during busy periods), communicating with other Fitters and Managers to ensure they are kept up to date with progress, issues and anything else as appropriate
Movement of items, large and small; physically lifting/moving machinery during the fitting process

Advantageous to have a working knowledge of:
•Rockwell RSLogix 5000 & Studio 5000.
•Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal.

Must have:
•Electrical / Pneumatic schematic Drawings
•PC literate with knowledge of MS office
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Experience in installing and maintaining mechanical and/or electrical equipment


Being a good team player and working well as part of the team to maintain a happy and productive working environment is very important to my client.

Monday to Friday although this can change during busy periods
