Reporting into the GM and Procurement Manager, your role will be to manage the full range of materials including mushrooms that the company handles on a daily basis. You will be expected to deliver a high level of management of all materials and keep the business informed through key reports on a daily and weekly basis.
Other duties will include but not be limited to:
•To reconcile the daily movement of mushrooms in and out of the business.
•A full investigation on any stock discrepancy each day is required.
•Full accountability on rejected stock is required.
•To ensure optimum utilisation of incoming goods and report daily to the business on any activities that affect the optimum utilisation of goods.
•To manage and fully maintain the stock system in use.
•To inform the production team of best utilisation of stock on a daily basis.
•To manage and effectively control the company tray pools. Ensure tray pools are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
•Effective time management, prioritising and multi-tasking to achieve goals.
•Provide senior management with key data to assist in the running of the business.
•Contribute ideas to the business and actively seek to improve profitability periodically. Continually seek out best utilisation of stock.
•Develop effective in-depth relationships throughout the business, with staff and suppliers.
•Deputise for the Procurement manager every Sunday and Monday and as required.
•Work closely with our Sales team on sales reporting, customer service etc.
•To undertake any projects that the business may deem you best qualified to manage.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Stock Control and within Fresh Produce. You will be a clear communicator and a team player.
