Interim Assistant Management Accountant
£12.32 - £14.50 per hour

Local organisation based in Mildenhall are seeking a temporary Assistant Management Accountant to join their team.

Reporting in to the Financial Controller, you will contribute to the preparation of timely monthly management accounts and provide general accounts support to the team.

Specifically you will be responsible for:

Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts
Maintaining schedules and posting journals for prepayments and accruals
Maintaining the fixed asset register and calculating and posting depreciation journals
Assisting in review of stock and associated accruals and provisions
Assisting with foreign currency revaluations
Various balance sheet reconciliations
Reviewing the P&L for errors and making corrections as required
Overseeing the purchase and sales ledgers entries and investigating and resolving ledger issues
Collating supplier payments when due and making payments
Cash book and bank reconciliations for all bank accounts
Monitoring exchange rates and updating the sales department regularly
Liaising with internal staff and external parties as required
Assisting with maintaining cash flow forecasting
Completing credit application forms for new suppliers as required
Preparing returns for the Office of National Statistics
Assisting in maintaining and continuous development of Sage 200 and other systems for ongoing efficiencies and making recommendations for improvements
Assisting the Financial Controller as required
Liaising with the external auditors for the annual audit
Feeding back any accounts issues or anomalies or areas of concern of financial mismanagement to the Financial Controller
General office administration and ad-hoc accounts duties as assigned by the Financial Controller

To be successful in your application, you will have previous experience of the above duties and be immediately available for work. You will have strong Excel skills to include pivot tables and Vlookup and ideally Sage 200 experience.

You will be proactive with a can-do attitude and a strong eye for detail and accuracy along with good communication skills. You will have the ability to manage and prioritise effectively, completing tasks efficiently with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
