I am currently recruiting for a Logistics Administrator based locally to Thetford. My client is a successful farming business, established for over 200 years! This position will report into the Plant Operations Manager.

This opportunity requires candidates to be flexible and adaptable to the fast changing working environment. It will require excellent communication skills to liaise with managers, customers, staff and drivers. You will need to have the ability to develop administration systems to work smart and the ability to review data.

Previous logistics administration/coordination experience would be highly advantageous. You will also be required to travel between two sites, which are 25 minutes apart. Full Driving Licence and your own transport is essential for the role.

Your duties will include:

Logistics Coordination:
•Contacting customers about the delivery schedule
•Working with local transport contractor to agree the delivery programme
•Ensuring that the right paperwork is completed for each delivery
•Raising invoices and checking payments have been made
•Taking samples and send off for lab results
•Manage the day to day movement of vehicles on site
•Manage the delivery of all feedstocks to both sites
•Ensure that every vehicle is checked in, weighed and recorded
•Ensure that digestate is being collected and that storage tanks and lagoons are managed

Administrative Coordination:
•Key Performance Indicators. To be involved in the collection and compilation of key operation performance data, maintaining the computer databases on a daily basis
•Feedstock Returns. Compile the raw material delivery data so that all feedstock is recorded both for the AD plants and also for outside clamps under our control
•Manage a system recording and verifying invoices and ensuring they are efficiently passed onto the accounts team (offsite)
•Ordering general supplies and provisions for the site
•Maintaining the necessary records to keep track of all purchase notes
•Interfacing with Head Office accounts to ensure the swift transfer of management information

Additional Information:

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30-5:30 - 1 hour for lunch
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Parking on site
