Account Executive
Bury St Edmunds
£16,000 - £20,000 DOE

This is a fantastic opportunity if you are interested in coming into the insurance industry to develop the business, creating new relationships and build on current relationships.

Job Purpose
- The role will involve developing strong, trustworthy relationships with key accounts by maintaining regular contact through calls and communication
- You will develop the business by following up new business opportunities using your existing broker base and creating new relationships
- You will be actively targeting brokers for recruitment and making outbound calls to create new relationships that generate business
- You will manage your new and existing broker relationships to grow business levels and improve broker performance through analysing feedback from brokers on unsold quotes and in-house underwriters on the quality of risks presented
- You will be targeted on achieving a 10% year on year growth on your allocated accounts

Key Result Areas
- Deliver excellent customer service to clients / IFA's and Brokers throughout
- New broker recruitment via outbound calls and targeted campaigns
- Building on relationships with new brokers and existing brokers and identifying key accounts
- Managing broker performance and providing training and support to your own brokers to reduce noise calls'
- Chasing quotes and recording feedback from brokers on why quotes have not converted
- Communicating new product developments to existing and prospective agents
- Manage your accounts effectively to retain customers and develop on the accounts for maximised profitability
- Delivering Monthly Sales Figures to Networks and Partners
- Managing the team inbox on a rota system ensuring emails are actioned and responded to in line with SLA's
- Learning about the products or services and keeping up to date with change
- Working as part of a team in tandem with new business underwriting to ensure the monthly sales targets are achieved
- Work efficiently to meet weekly call and quote targets
- Ensuring monthly KPI's are achieved
- Providing new quotations to clients, brokers and IFA's
- Field incoming quote enquiries and identify target risks
- Keeping accurate records of discussions or correspondence with customers
- Ability to develop your own leads, build relationships, up-sell, cross-sell, and ultimately close deals

Skills and Competencies
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills both over the telephone and in writing
- 2+ Years successful telephone sales experience - ideally within the Insurance market
- Planning, organisational and time-management skills
- General understanding of FCA regulations and requirements
- Driven and confident to exceed set sales targets
- Computer literate and thorough understanding of compny Trading Platform
- Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

- CII Certified would be advantageous - or working towards the certification
- A-Level Standard Qualifications

Experience Required
- A minimum of 1 years' experience in account management
- Property Insurance experience a preference
