Job Description:Technical Support Engineer
Reports to: Managing Director
Hours: 35 hours per week
Holiday: 20 days plus Statutory Holidays
My Client has been in business for nearly 40 years, being the market leader in vibration testing equipment and are looking for someone with extensive knowledge of the products and industry. They have historically focused their sales on the UK and parts of Europe, however they are now expanding their network to reach a Global audience. With ambitious plans for new products and growth over the next few years my they are set to become an exciting place to work with many challenges ahead.
The Technical Support engineer role is key to the development of the UK sales. Customer service and strong technical support is the core to building strong relationships with customers and it is these relationships that generate long term sales for the company. Working with the Managing Director you will provide technical sales support in specifying products to meet customer needs, whilst advising about product use. You will create and follow up quotes, make customer visits to build relationships, support other sales team members and be an active member of the sales development and marketing strategy team.
UK wide travel, exhibition attendance and possible occasional overseas travel will be required.
•Extensive knowledge of vibration measurements and applications
•Inquisitive mind and open engaging personality with the ability to converse at a technical level whilst keeping technical details simple and easy to understand.
•Quick learner with a solid mechanical engineering understanding,
•Able to work alone or as part of a team
•Excellent initiative required
•Confident approach whilst being able to listen to others but not afraid to ask Questions
•Organised and forward thinking
•Quick to learn and able to integrate with other departments.
