Job Description:Job Title: Product Development Administrator
Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Hours: Monday to Friday - 9am - 5:30pm
Reporting to: Trading Manager
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
I am currently recruiting for a local, longstanding successful business who specialise in effective Sales, Marketing and Distribution. They are looking for a Product Development Administrator to support with the day to day administrative duties and assist with the trading team to promote smooth operation within the department.
Your Key Responsibilities:
•To provide effective and efficient secretarial and administrative support for the departmental operation
•To set up new products on the system and to maintain and update product information ensuring that all data is accurate
•To review the system regularly to ensure the accuracy of product and sales data using the general stock enquiry programme
•To extract system data as requested and import into Excel analysis spreadsheets for cost analysis purposes to be used as working documents
•To make the appropriate arrangements for the prompt distribution of sample requests in the absence of the Sample Room Assistant or to provide additional support during periods of high demand
•To produce photographs and images of products as requested
•To manage the in-house brochure creation process for the department.
•To liaise with suppliers and Sales Managers as required to obtain specs, samples, costs, etc. for entry onto the maintenance spreadsheets for cost analysis and tendering purposes complete with appropriate formulas
•To produce PowerPoint presentations as required
•To monitor, manage and update the website in conjunction with IT personnel
•To update external on-line product data on behalf of customers
•To create, maintain, update and distribute Price Lists, product photographs, presentation sheets as requested
•To answer queries raised by the Sales team on product specs, samples, etc.
•To project manage routine assignments as requested
•To support the Trading Department with any reasonable requests
The Ideal Applicant:
•Will have excellent attention to detail - essential
•Strong IT Skills, in particular Excel
•Product Development experience - desirable not essential
•Strong Administration skills - Essential
•Good time management experience
This position is central to Bury St Edmunds and commutable from Stowmarket, Newmarket, and Thetford and is close to the A14.
